Player´s Profile: Hossam Hassan


Hossam Hassan (born August 10, 1966) is considered one of the best Egyptian soccer players of all time. He has played more international matches and scored more goals than anyone in Egypt's soccer history. As of 2006, he had amassed 170 caps for his country and scored 80 goals. Hossam Hassan played for the Egyptian national team from September, 1985 (Debut against Norway) till now. He took part in the FIFA World Cup 1990.
His twin brother, Ibrahim, has also been capped by Egypt over 100 times. Ibrahim has mainly played for the same clubs as Hossam, but is now retired.
