Young talented Egyptian midfielder Hosny Abd Rabo plays currently in French Ligue 1 for Racing Club Strasbourg. Hosni started his career at El Esmaily Club in Egypt. At El Esmaily he started a successful professional football career and Hosni Abd Rabo was the youngest player in the Egyptian 1st Division when El Esmaily won the League Championship in the season 2001/2002.
In 2003 Hosni Abd Rabo was part of the Egyptian National Youth Team U20 in the FIFA World Youth Championship 2003 in the Arab Emirates. In this U20 world Cup tournament Hosni caught the eyes of the big clubs in Europe such as Juventus, Arsenal and also from French sides such as Nantes and Strasbourg but his club El Esmaily in Egypt rejected to release him out of his contract.
At the end of 2003 Hosni Abd Rabo played the Arabian club championship final but El Esmaily lost the final. In the same season Hosni Abd Rabo played the African chmpions league final but also El Esmaily lost this final .
In 2004 Hosni Abd Rabo had been selected for the first time in his career to play for the Egyptian national team in the African Cup of Nations in Tunisia. He was one of the youngest players in the tournment and once again Hosni was observed by European Clubs who had followed him offer the years. In summer 2005 Hosni was transferred to France and signed a five year contract with Racing Club Strasbourg.
At the begining of 2006 Hosni Abd Rabo was called up for the Egyptian national team to play the African NationS Cup in Egypt 2006 but unfortunately got injured just 1 week before the tournament started and he could not play his part in the historical Egyptian team that finally won the tournment against the Ivory Coast.
This season RC Strasbourg has been relegated from France´s Ligue 1 to Ligue 2.
