Players Profile & Observation
Islam Saleh is a very powerful defender and an excellent man marker. He leaves his opponent striker no space and is a very strong tackler. Despite his height he is fast and moves quickly. He is a leader and organizer of the defence back line. He has got a good view of the game, very good positioning and good passing skills (long and short). He has got a powerful header and is dangerous at standards. He is a specialist in taking penalties. He has got a striong and precises shot and takes very good freekicks. For his age, he playes very calmy and very experienced.


Islam Saleh was the Captain of the Egyptian U20 national team but 2 days before the opening match of the FIFA U20 World Cup in the Netherlands in 2005 he injured himself and had to be replaced. Islam Saleh started his soccer career when he joined the Ismaily Soccer School with the age of 7. El Esmaily is one of the most famous Soccer Clubs in Africa and the Club developed many famous football players before such as Nigerian star Ghon Utaka (Stade Rennes), Malian international Drhaman Traore (Locomotive Moscow) and Egyptian midfielder Hosny Abd Rabo (RC Strasbourg).
