African champions Ahli were seeded at the top of Group A in the African Champions League quarter-finals draw that took place at the CAF headquarters in Cairo on Saturday.

Ahli were drawn in a tough group that includes Algerian side Sportive Kabylie, Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko and Club Sfaxien of Tunisia. The Egyptian champions will commence their Group A by facing Sfaxien away in Tunisia on the 14th, 15th or 16th of July. Two-time African champions Enyimba were seeded at the top of Group B that includes ASEC Mimosas, Hearts of Oak of Ghana and South African side Orlando Pirates.

Ahli, four-time African champions, are the only remaining Egyptian team in continental competitions after Enppi, Harras Al-Hodoud and Ittihad were all eliminated from the African Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively.

The draw for the Confederation Cup quarter-finals was also held at the CAF headquarters on Saturday.
