Egyptian Champions Ahli coach Manuel Jose said his side's Egyptian League triumph is fully deserved after beating arch-rivals Zamalek 2-0 in the Cairo derby.


"We deserved to win the league for the second successive season, we were the best throughout the campaign," Jose told a press conference after Sunday's match.


Ahli cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Zamalek to grab their second successive Egyptian league title. Jose's side scored an early goal through Emad Meteb and it was Mohamed Abou-Treika who made it 2-0 to bag their 66th point and secure the 31st overall Egyptian league title.

Ahli's board of directors has decided to reward the players with a maximum of EGP 60,000 each depending on their appearances. Egypt keeper Essam Al-Hadari and defender Emad Al-Nahhas will earn the highest fee as they played in all matches this season.
