Rami Shaaban is now officially a Swede in footballing terms, after he represented their national team. Rami Shaaban can no longer play for Egypt, after he featured in a Swedish shirt against his mother's native country Finland earlier today. The half-Egyptian Shaban told Egyptian media that he would have accepted an EFA call-up for the African Cup of Nations but the Egyptian national coach Hasan Shehata never called him officialy. Rami Shaaban who currently plays for the Norwegian 1st division club Fredrikstad FF played the second half against Finland and kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw ahead of the World Cup Finals in Germany. Rami Shaaban has an Egyptian father and a Finnish mother.
