The Egyptian star, Mohamed Zidane, started his preparation for the 2006/7 season with the German club, Werder Bremen. THey ran out comfortable winners after scoring an unanswered 5 goals against TUS Pewsum.

Zidane only played for the first 45 mminutes and didn't score but he assisted on 2 goals.
After opening their 2006/7 campaign five hard training days, Werder Bremen opted for a 'soft' opening friendly. However, it almost didn't go to plan as the first two clear opportunities went to Pewsum.
In the 7th Minute they saw an early chance go wide and only two minutes later Schulz had an opportunity to score only to be denied by the Bremen keeper.

At the break, manager, Thomas Schaaf replaced the entire team and left only young and new players on the field.
