Two of Mido's former clubs clashed in a friendly game on Tuesday, which saw Tottenham Hotspur win 2-0 against Celta Vigo.

The Egyptian Hossam Ghaly played almost the entire game in the right-back position, indicating that his versatility may come in handy both for him and coach Martin Jol this season.

Striker Jermain Defoe scored two second half goals within two minutes of each other. Both teams looked to be playing close to full-strength for large chunks of the game, yet Hossam Ghaly was tested as right-back until the 85th minute, which suggests he is of value. This is a relatively more defensive position that he is used to, though he was played there on a few occasions for Feyenoord.

Hossam Ghaly did a number of clearances and showed a physical game, though he was beaten on an occasion by Baiano before the danger was cleared.
