Hossam Ghaly continues his fantastic performance with his club Tottenham Hotspur in the preperation for the new season. Ghaly played 46 minutes while Tottenham won 3-0 over Stevenage Borough.


After 6 minutes from the start it was clear that Hossam Ghaly would be the man of the match when Hossam Ghaly tried his luck from 25 yards. The Egyptian internaternational really had a very good match and played an active role.


The lead should really have been secured for Tottenham after 31 minutes when Spurs striker Jermaine Defoe forced another tip of the fingers save from Potter, only this time the ball ran loose and into the path of Ghaly about three or four yards out.


Just two minutes later tottenham striker Defoe was responsible for opening the scoring after Davids and Assou-Ekotto combined to present him with the ball inside the area. With his back to goal, he turned quickly around and fired his shot high past Potter.

1 minute after the break Ghaly was substituted by Wayne Routledge.
In the 81th minute the referee had to point to the penalty spot after Bulgarian international Berbatov was felled in the penalty area by two Stevenage players, Santos Gaia and Luke Oliver. Berbatov himself took the penalty and converted cool by shooting the ball past Potter's right and into the net.

Tottenham Hotspurs was rewarded another penalty three minutes from time when Defoe was tripped on the run by Ieuan Lewis and - with Berbatov off the pitch - it was Defoe who converted the penalty savely. Again, Stevenage keeper Potter was beaten to his right.
