An outstanding second-half performance from El Masri earned them a 3-1 home victory over Tanta in the Egyptian League on Friday to restore their balance after collapsing in the season opener.


Ahmed Hafez put the Port Said side ahead in the 66th minute, before Mohamed Elhady equalized for Tanta six minutes later from a great header passed to him through Captain Tamer Hamed .


Meanwhile Tanta's in form Ghanaian Defender William Mensah continued with his fantastic performance but that didn't help Tanta to avoid defeat, William Mensah also had a great performance against Egyptian giants El-Ahly last week.


The second goal for Elmasry was scored by Saied Rabie in the 81th minute after he made a good run and passed Tanta's defender Hasan Konde .
Only 4 minutes later Elmasry's new signing, Cameroonian striker Oumarou Sanda, scored after a mistake by Tanta's goalkeeper Osama Lila that finally sealed the victory for Elmasry.

Elmasry took their first three points of the season after their 3-0 defeat to Ismaili in the league opener.
