The Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan helped his team R.S.C. Anderlecht to gain the 3 points on the most important game since he signed with Anderlecht last June.
Ahmed Hassan showed his class in Anderlecht's big derby match versus their arch-rivals Club Brugge as he assisted the winning goal for his side.
Anderlecht won the game by a single goal, thanks to Ahmed Hassan's superb individual effort, as he dribbled past 3 defenders and sent an accurate cross from the left wing for Congolese striker Mohamed (Meme) Tchite who was left with a simple finish.




At the start of the game Anderlecht experienced some problems while they had to play without 3 of there key players. There was a hard battle in the midfield and both teams struggled to create chances.
The first chance was on Anderlecht´s side after 10 minutes, but Tchité´s effort went over the goal.

After 16 minutes the real danger came from Brugge´s Englebert but Anderlecht's Goalkeper Daniel Zitka saved twice.
the next chance came from Anderlecht in the 35th minute, when Mbark Boussoufa passed the ball to Mémé Tchité who shoot the ball again over the cross bar.
The second half was a lot different while Club Brugge took over the control of the game.




Salou had the first chance for Brugge, but Anderlecht's keeper Daniel Zitka was on time again.
Only 9 minutes had been played in the the second half when Egyptian player Ahmed Hassan showed his extraodinary skills. Ahmed Hassan dribbled past 3 Brugge defenders and then found Tchité clear who had no trouble to score. The crowd was delighted by the fantastic display of the Egyptian international and shouted his name: "Hassan, Hassan".
After 65 minutes Ahmed Hassan's again passed the ball superbly, this time to Boussoufa who scored and the crowd celebrated the 2-0... but the linesman had seen Boussoufa offside and therefore had his flag up. The referee did not give the goal and the result remained 1-0 for Anderlecht.
After 70 minutes Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Hassan was replaced by Belgian international defender Van Damme.
After Ahmed Hassan left the pitch, Anderlecht´s goal keeper Daniel Zitka was in the center of the action. Club Brugge attacked the Anderlecht goal and Zitka had to save several times. During the final period of the match Anderlecht was under big pressure from Brugge and the team could not keep posession but fought for every ball until the final whistle.
