Brighton continued their unbeaten run under caretaker-boss Dean Wilkins with their biggest victory for a year.
The Egyptian defender Adam El-Abd scored his first goal for Brighton on his 50th game with Brighton .

The hosts were helped by the early dismissal of Leyton Orient defender John Mackie for fouling Gary Hart and two minutes later Paul Reid struck.

Shortly after the half-hour mark Adam El-Abd eclipsed Reid's own spectacular effort with an absolute corker.

It was his first goal for the club and what a way to open his account. A terrific left-foot 30-yard drive from the young defender beat Glenn Morris at his left-hand post.

Dean Hammond's penalty was saved but Doug Loft restored the three-goal lead after Matt Lockwood's spot-kick goal.
