Despite playing at their home turf, Anderlecht suffered a heavy and unexpected defeat at the hands of Genk by four goals to one.


Vandenbergh put Genk 0-2 ahead as he scored in the 2nd and 9th minutes while Boussouffa clawed a goal back in the 65th minute.
However, Ljubojevic scored a couple of goals in the 86th and 89th minutes to end the game in a 1-4 defeat for Hassan's side.




Ahmed Hassan played the full game and assisted the only goal for his side after made a very strong shot and Genk goalkeeper couldn't save it and fill down from his hands to find Boussouffa who had no trouble to score but this couldn't help Anderlecht to win the game .
after this game Anderlecht came down to the second place with 17 points only 3 points behind Genk who stayed on top of the league with 20 points .
