The Egyptian international Ahmed Hossam Mido scored a fantastic goal from narrow angle in the stoppage time of the first half after a low cross from Edgar Davids.

Ahmed Hossam Mido played the game from the start to end as Tottenham Coach Martin Jol decided to rest some of the players who started on Thursday in UEFA cup while the other Egyptian Hosam Ghaly came on in the 2nd half.


The Egyptian international striker Ahmed Hossam Mido erupted in ecstasy after finding the net for the first time this season and took off his jersey in celebration only to be handed a yellow card.


Ahmed Hossam Mido came close from doubling his tally after the break when he steered a marvelous header from an Aaron Lennon cross but saw his effort denied by the woodwork.


Hossam Ghaly, who scored during Tottenham's 2-0 triumph over Besiktas in the UEFA Cup last week, came off the bench in the 76th minute, replacing England international Lennon.
