Egyptian giants Zamalek tied OS Meknes 2-2 in Morocco on Sunday to earn a place in the Arab Champions League round of 16 with a 3-2 aggregate score.


Mostapha Namo fired the hosts in front when he towered to head Marouane Terrab's cross past Zamalek keeper Mohamed Abdul-Monsef, who didn't make a single move to block the ball.


Zamalek defender Amr Al-Safti scored his first goal for the club in the 58th minute to level the score.



Gamal Hamza put Zamalek ahead in the 72nd minute after a brilliant exchange with Abdul-Halim Ali.




Founessay Kamissoko equalized six minutes later on the rebound but it was not enough to send the Moroccans through.
