Ahmed Hassan continued to impress with Anderlecht and led the to a 2-0 victory over Lirse.

20 minutes of the Start Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan sent a brilliant deep through pass to Frutos behind the defense, the latter was onside and managed to round the keeper and score but the referee's assistant had his flag up there for offside and the goal was ruled out.

In the 32nd minute, Frutos made a good run from the left flank and cut into the middle, he left the ball to the well posisitioned Ahmed Hassan just outside the box and the Egyptian powered a low shot with his right at goal which beat the goalkeeper and went into the back of the net to make the score 1-0 for Anderlecht.

in the 52nd minute, Ahmed Hassan added his 2nd goal after a good follow on a shot by Tchite. The goal came through a freekick in the right wing, the ball was crossed into the box to find Tchite who powered a shot with his right at goal, the goalkeeper parried it and it fell to Hassan who buried it directly home in off the post.
after 15 minutes from the secound half Strat Ahmed Hassan managed to keep the ball under control in midfield and sent a through pass to Boussofa who laid it in front of goal to Tchite but the latter sent his shot into the body of the goalkeeper.

Later, Mbo Mpenza who replaced the injured Frutos was brought down in the box by a Lierse defender and the referee awarded Anderlecht a penalty kick,Ahmed Hassan failed to score from the spot kick as his shot was diened by the goalkeeper.

After the match. Hassan was interviewed on TV, he commented on missing the penalty kick that he missed by saying. " I wished to score from the spot kick to have a Hat-Trick but as you saw, the goalkeeper Zitka also missed so, these things happen"
