Neither Ahmed Hossam (Mido) nor Hossam Ghaly was in the starting eleven in last night's clash between Bayer Leverkusen and Tottenham Spurs.

The game ended in a 0-1 victory for Tottenham Spurs. who scored through Berbatov who was left with a simple finish after a low cross from Lennon.

Ahmed Hossam (Mido) replaced the Berbatov in the 75th minute and had a chance to score but the keeper denied his shot from narrow angle.
Berbatov facing his old club, was in the right place to slot home the rebound after Aaron Lennon's shot was saved by Leverkusen keeper Jorg Butt.


he entire BayArena clapped Berbatov off as Ahmed Hossam (Mido) replaced him for the final quarter of an hour of the match.

Ahmed Hossam (Mido)didn't have much to do but was stopped from shielding the ball in the final minutes as it was taken off him by a couple of defenders who tried to carve an attack out, only for it to be successfully cleared by Spurs' back line.


In the final seconds the ball fell for a completely free Ahmed Hossam (Mido) in the area, with Robie Keane in support.
Ahmed Hossam (Mido)tried to place the ball into the far corner of the goal, but Butt stopped it. Keane reacted angrily to Mido, who felt he had the right to shoot and responded to him verbally.
