Tottenham and Egypt striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' is set to be sidelined for up to two weeks with a groin problem, the Premiership club said.

Follow up:

"Mido has a little tear in his groin and that's why he wasn't fit for selection,"

manager Martin Jol was quoted as saying by the club's website on Sunday.

"He could be out for a couple of weeks,"

Martin Jol added after the 3-1 league victory over Wigan.

Ahmed Hossam (Mido), who scored 3 times for Tottenham this season, missed several matches last season due to a similar injury.
