A second half winner by Aaron Lennon gave Tottenham a famous victory, and their first league win over Chelsea in 16 years, in a pulsating match at White Hart Lane.
From the two Egyptians at Tottenham, only Hossam Ghaly played.

Egypt midfielder Hossam Ghaly played the full 90 minutes and impressed with his versatility and dazzling displays, while Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' was kept on the bench by Tottenham coach Martin Jol.

Hossam Ghaly changed his position often in today's match, he started as right midfielder with Lennon on the left wing, but later on in the first half, both players switched positions and Hossam Ghaly played more on the left and Lennon moved to play in the right flank.

In the 2nd half, Hossam Ghaly played as defensive midfielder to help Zokora and Jenas in keeping Mekalele, Ballack, Essien and Lampard quiet. Hossam Ghaly succeeded in this defensive role and also linked well with forwards.

Despite this, Hossam Ghaly wasn't at his best in terms of passing, he gave away possession too easy near the end of the game and in more than one occasion which put Tottenham To under pressure in the final minutes.
This Shaky performance from the Hossam Ghaly in the last 20 minutes affected his ratings in the game as SkySports gave him an overall rating of 5 which is amongst the lowest ratings in the game.

Chelsea stunned their hosts when they opened the scoring in the 14th minute from the most unlikely of sources

French midfielder Makelele had scored just once since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Real Madrid three and a half years ago.
But the manner in which his smart snapshot from the edge of the penalty area flew past Paul Robinson suggested he might have scored more goals in that period.

Jermaine Jenas's pinpoint delivery prompted a maginificent leap from Dawson, whose glancing header had just enough on it to see the ball land in the bottom corner beyond keeper Hilario.
That goal sent the Spurs fans into a frenzy, but they were handed a warning when Didier Drogba's cleverly crafted overhead kick landed narrowly wide of Robinson's goal.

But Tottenham Spurs should have been ahead before the break when Lennon beat Ashley Cole on the right, and his inviting cross was powered an inch or so over from the head of Robbie Keane.

During the interval Mourinho withdrew Ferriera, who had looked shaky and was already on a booking.
He was replaced by Khalid Boulahrouz, but his arrival appeared to unsettle the Blues, who were amazed at conceding six minutes into the second half.

Jenas's cross from the right was only half cleared by Makelele, and Lennon beat Cole again at the far post before steering a left footed effort past Hilario.

Mourinho's riposte was to introduce Shaun Wright-Phillips, who entered the game at the expense of earlier substitute Boulahrouz, who headed straight for the tunnel without even acknowledging his manager.

Then the contest exploded once more when Terry was sent off for his part in a scuffle in the Tottenham's six-yard box, involving Keane and Pascal Chimbonda.
Referee Poll reached for a second yellow card and the England skipper was out of the game.

Chelsea had chances to draw level, and went closest four minutes from time when Robben curled a fine effort beyond Robinson, but not the upright.
Then Tottenham should have made the margin of victory clearer when Defoe failed to connect with Jenas' cross from close range.
