Egyptian side Al Ahly ran out comfortable 2-0 winners over New Zealand's Auckland FC at the Toyota Stadium in Nagoya to secure a semi-final clash with Internacional of Porto Alegre.

Follow up:

Flavio Amado opened the scoring for Ahli six minutes after restart and Mohamed Abou-Treika secured the win from a 73rd minute free-kick.

The Egyptian giants could have broken the deadlock as early as the 3rd minute, but Abou-Treika's long range effort went over the crossbar.
In the 21st minute, a swift exchange between Islam Al-Shater and Abou-Treika put Flavio in scoring position, but the Angolan international shot wide.

Meteb also wasted a chance to open the score when he was beaten by the defense to a deft pass from Ahmed Shedid just before the interval.

After a scoreless first-half, Flavio opened his account with a fierce shot from the edge of the area after being set up from under-pressure Emad Meteb.

Abou-Treika sealed the win when he curled a trademark free-kick home past the motionless Auckland keeper Ross Nicholson.

Auckland City will face the loser from Monday's match between Club America of Mexico Jeonbuk Motors of South Korea.
