Despite playing with only 10 men after the sending off of Van Damme, Ahmed Hassan's Anderlecht managed to win their first league game of the season with four goals to two. Hassan played the game from the start and was taken off just 2 minutes before the final whistle.
The Belgian Jupiter League 06-07 season kicked off on Saturday.


Ahmed Hassan'sAnderlecht played their first match away against Sint-Truiden and managed to win the game by four goals to two.

Anderlecht received an early shock as their central defender Van Damme was shown the red card in the 22nd minute after a professional foul that prevented a Sint-Truiden striker from scoring after getting into one on one situation with the Anderlecht goalkeeper.
The first chance for Ahmed Hassancame in the 36th minute when Boussoufa sent a through pass to him but the referee whistled for a doubtful offside decision.

The first half remained goalless but the 2nd half witnessed six goals. The first came on the 52nd minute. Hassan was involved in the making of this goal, as he sent a clever pass to Tchite in the right wing and the latter found Bart Goor inside the box with the cross. Goor met the cross with his head and scored to give Anderlecht a 0-1 lead.


In the 58th minute, Ahmed Hassan fired a shot at the goal but it went just over the bar.
Eight minutes after Anderlecht's first goal, the homeside managed to level the score through Munyaneza. In the 70th minute, Sishuba made things more difficult for Anderlecht as he scored the 2nd goal for his team.

In the 78th minute, Hayen put the ball inside his own net to make the score 2-2. Ahmed Hassan came off in the 86th minute.
The final minutes were the most exiting moments in the game as Tchite managed to score two goals in the 89th and 90th minutes respectively to win the game for Anderlecht.
