Egyptian captain Ahmed Hassan scored his first goal for Anderlecht to hand his ten-man side a 1-0 win over Germinal Beerschot on Saturday.



Ahmed Hassan's side played with only 10 men from the 44th minute after Borre had been sent off. Despite this, Ahmed Hassan managed to score 4 minutes into the second half.
Ahmed Hassan slammed in a penalty kick in the 49th minute to give the Belgian champions their second consecutive victory.




Anderlecht are fourth with a maximum tally of six points, trailing Genk, Westerlo and Mouscron who lead respectively on goal difference.
Anderlecht had to play with ten men after Anthony Vanden Borre for a second yellow card just five minutes before Ahmed Hassan marked his goal.
The 30-year-old midfielder (Ahmed Hassan) scored four times for Egypt in the African Cup of Nations including two from the spot. He also registered his attempt in the 4-3 shootout against Ivory Coast in the final.
Ahmed Hassan joined Anderlecht from Turkish side Besiktas after spending seven seasons playing in the Turkish SuperLig.
