Ahmed Hassan's Anderlecht wasted a golden chance as they conceded a 2nd half goal and ended their clash with Lille in a 1-1 draw.
Defender Nicolas Pareja put the Belgium champions ahead in the 41st minute but Nicolas Fauvergue levelled the score in the 80th minute. Ahmed Hassan played the full match and had four attempts on goal.

Ahmed Hassan also made a key pass in the first half to Bousoufa.

Anderlecht and Lille are in second and third spots of Group H with AC Milan leading the group after beating AEK Athens 3-0 at the San Siro.

The Egypt captain Ahmed Hassan was the main danger of threat throughout the game, touching almost every ball and receiving a harsh kick in the leg late in the second period.

Pareja put the hosts ahead when he bowed to connect with Mbark Boussoufa's corner-kick and sent a rising header into the roof of the net for the opener.

Lille laid a siege to Anderlecht's area after the break and managed to equalize ten minutes from time with a debatable goal.
Peter Odemwingie raced down the left and crossed on the floor for Fauvergue who was apparently in an offside position.

The referee didn't blow his whistle and Fauvergue sidefooted the ball into the far corner of the net.
