Egypt international Fathi joined United in a £700,000 deal from Egyptian League side Ismaily on Monday and the 22-year-old signed a contract with the Blades until 2010.
Neil Warnock Sheffield United coach comment on Sigining Fathi saying that
Ahmed Fathi has a 'British Bulldog' mentality.

Warnock said:
"I've liked Fathi for a long time and I think he'll be a very good acquisition for us. He's got that 'British Bulldog' spirit in him - he's not that big and tall, but he's an athlete. Ahmed has great vision and can play in a number of positions." 
he added
that he believes Fathi is closer to making his debut than Shelton at this moment in time. 
He said also :
"Ahmed has really impressed me. It's unfair to jump on board for the Tuesday game, but I'd be very surprised if he's not on the bench and looking to contribute as quickly as possible."
