Egyptian striker Mohamed Zidan said that his exceptional form with Mainz is due to the

"confidence" that team coach Jurgen Klopp has shown in him.

Zidan said that Klopp was the main reason he was performing so well, with five goals in his last three Bundesliga games.


The 25-year-old forward added the whole environment at Mainz was contributing to a fresh impetus to his career.

"At Mainz, I feel at home," the Egyptian international said. "Everyone is supporting me here, and the fans are also pushing me to perform."


Zidan joined Mainz from Werder Bremen in January.
