Hossam Ghaly scored again and keeper Paul Robinson notched home from 80 yards as Tottenham grabbed a 3-1 home victory over Watford in the Premiership on Saturday.

Follow up:

Ghaly, who scored against Chelsea in the 3-3 FA Cup draw last weekend, ensured Spurs' win five minutes from time when his shot from inside the area took a deflection and went into the bottom corner.

Jermaine Jenas put the hosts ahead four minutes before the break when he outjumped his marker to head home Pascal Chimbonda's inch-perfect cross.

Robinson added the second three minutes after the hour mark when he took a free-kick from outside his penalty area before the ball bounced in front of Watford keeper Ben Foster and looped over his head into the net.

Egyptian striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido', who was given a rare start, missed a golden opportunity to extend the score line in the 72nd minute when Tom Huddlestone's shot was parried into his path, but his close-range effort was denied again by Ben Foster.
The victory lifted Tottenham to sixth place in the league table with 45 points while Watford left second from bottom on 20 points.
