the Egyptian Olympic midfielder Ahmed Magdy helped his side Atromitos FC to celebrate the greatest victory of their history after they dominated against Panathinaikos at Olympic Stadium. The team from Peristeri won for the first time away from home a team of “old time” POK (Olympiakos, AEK, Panathinaikos) and climbed higher on the ranking.

Follow up:
The magnificent play of the squad brought all three points at Peristeri. Atromitos were dominant, with clear mind, clever tactics and big heart against a team, which can be subscribed as a “wreck”. Panathinaikos’ players never managed to become dangerous enough for the excellent Mihailidis and their faces were reflecting the opposite to Atromitos’ players: tiredness, lack of imagination, disorganization.
On the other hand, the visitors had Luciano as the man who could bring creativeness and tranquility at their game, while the “marvelous four” of the defensive line rarely let the opponents to create good chances. On the middle line, Magdy, Halaris, Rovas and Korakakis were best companion for Luciano and Koutsospiros was the main man up front.
Koutsospiros was the player that gave the lead after 32 minutes for Atromitos with a hard shot before Ebede. Five minutes after the hour mark Marcelo Oliveira scored one more with the “usual” header after Luciano’s corner kick, but Papadopoulos narrowed the gap after 70 minutes with another header.
Panathinaikos: Ebede, Morris, Goumas, Vindra (46' Romero), Nilsson, Ninis, Ivanschitz (63' Mantzios), Leondiou, Tziolis (83' Biscan), Salpigidis, Papadopoylos.
Atromitos: Mihailidis, Katemis, Ioannou, Rovas (90' Anderson), Luciano (94' Kripintiris), Koutsospiros (93' Lazanas), Magdy, Halaris, Oliveira, Korakakis, Raguel.
