Substitute Waleed Abdul-Latif scored his first goal for Ismaili but couldn't save them from a shocking 2-1 away defeat to bottom side Tanta in the Egyptian League on Wednesday.

Ramadan Ragab put the hosts ahead in the 17th minute from the penalty spot but Walid Abdul-Latif, who joined Ismaili from Zamalek in the January transfer window, leveled the score seven minute after re-start.
Mohamed Abdul-Fatah sealed the stunning victory in the 76th minute as Ismaili's title hopes suffered a huge blow.

Despite the victory, Tanta are still at the bottom with 17 points and one game in hand, five adrift of the safety zone.
Tanta were awarded a penalty when Abdullah Saied handled Sayed Hamdi's pass inside the area. Ragab stepped-up and successfully converted the ball into the back of the net.


Ismaili then pushed forward searching for the equalizer but couldn't impose threat on the hosts until the referee blew the half-time whistle.

coach Patrice Neveu introduced Abdul-Latif in the second-half and the former Egypt international made an immediate impact.


Five minutes after the break, Abdul-Latif's header was denied by the post but he succeeded to equalize in his second attempt.


He was picked out unmarked by Hosni Abd-Rabou's cross before hitting a left-footed strike past Tanta keeper Emad Fathi.


Abdul-Fatah(Etoo) restored the lead for Tanta 14 minutes from time after he capitalized on a defensive blunder by Sherif Abdul-Fadil and broke through on goal before poking home.
