Ahli celebrations turned to be painful for Olympic of Alexandria as they were now officially relegated after conceding a 3-0 home defeat on Thursday night.
Ahmed Belal is back to scoring after more than two years, 10, Hosni doubled it elegance (52) but the final word was for substitute Ahmed Sedik who curled in a free kick fifteen minutes before time.

The crowd had just to wait for nine minutes before Belal entertained his home fans beating the Olympic goalie calmly after receiving an excellent long ball from Hassan Mostafa. The 26 year old striker, who captained the champions, hits his first goal since March 10 2005 against Al-Gaish.


Ossama Hosni could have doubled the score a few minutes later from the same action but he couldn’t do as Belal. Despite missing 7 of their key players, the Red Devils had the upper hand and could force the home side to get back on defense.


Sweeper Mohamed Sedik failed to convert a cross from close range in the back of the net and Hassan Mostafa got past the keeper and shot from an impossible angle to hit the side net. The home side who were supposed to be battling for survival didn’t cause any threat to Ahli’s keeper.

The second period picked up where the first had left off with Ahli going forward for more goals but with no efficiency on target until Hosni transforms with a back heel Barakat’s cross to double the score.


Ahli goalie Amir Abdul Hamid was pressed into service to cover his shaky backline as Mahmoud Selim and Mohamed Ragab severely tested him from close range but he stretched to keep his clean sheet.


At the 79th minute substitute Ahmed Sedik curled a well placed free kick from the edge of the box to make it 3-0 and secure another victory.
