Middlesbrough are keen on signing Tottenham striker Mido for £2million in an effort to strengthen their Riverside strike force.


The Egypt international has no future at White Hart lane following Darren Bent's arrival and has been deemed surplus to requirements even if Jermain Defoe is allowed to leave before the transfer window closes next month.
