Middlesbrough are eyeing Tottenham's striker Ahmed ‘Mido’ Hossam. This is after the Egyptian's move to Birmingham City collapsed this week.
Mido, 24, verbally agreed personal terms over a £6million move last week. But he was unhappy with part of Birmingham's contract offer concerning a release clause.

Mido’s teammate and countryman, Hossam Ghaly. Is also exiting Spurs after closing in a deal with Birmingham City. The Egypt international was at St Andrews yesterday to open talks about a £3m switch from White Hart Lane.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni is being linked with Birmingham City.

The Daily Mail says Steve Bruce may turn to the Nigeria international after failing to secure a deal for Tottenham striker Mido
