Ayman Abdul-Aziz's Trabzonspor were handed a 2-1 home defeat to Romania's Otelul Galati in the second-leg of the Intertoto Cup third round to miss out on a place in the UEFA Cup.

Ceyhun Eris put Trabzonspor ahead as early as the sixth minute, giving the home side the upper hand as they scored an away goal in the 2-1 first-leg defeat.
However, Janos Szekely leveled the score six minutes later before Gabriel Jula converted a penalty kick in stoppage time to ensure Galati's progress to the UEFA Cup qualifying round 4-2 on aggregate.
Egyptian midfielder Abdul-Aziz took part in the game but was substituted five minutes from time.
It remains to be seen whether Abdul-Aziz will join Zamalek after Trabzonspor missed out on European football next season.
