Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' scored on his Middlesbrough debut to help the Premiership side beat Fulham 2-1 but he limped off the pitch with a foot injury.
Mido received a warm welcome from Boro’s fans despite playing on the road and he was followed by the cameras until he was substituted in the 69th minute.

Fulham opened Boro up down the visitors' left flank to take the lead on 16 minutes, but at a hefty price.

Follow up:

Simon Davies picked out Alexei Smertin in the inside-right channel and his cut-back found McBride unmarked, but as the USA international tucked the chance away unchallenged from eight yards, he collapsed in agony as his left knee gave out.

McBride was taken off on a stretcher and replaced by Diomansy Kamara.

It took Boro 22 minutes to fashion their first chance but Mido's under-powered shot proved no trouble for Warner.
There seemed little danger when Julia Arca found Mido out on the left and even as he took aim from a tight angle, but Warner failed to get a grasp on the ball which hit his chest and bobbled in.

In the 69th minute, Mido, who lacks game fitness and didn’t join the team in their pre-season camp, left the game with an injury after his foot twisted while spinning around with the ball.

Middlesbrough robbed the three points two minutes from time when Cattermole tucked the ball into the back of the net, capitalizing on a neat pass from Jeremie Aliadiere.
