Sami El-Abd who was born in 01 January 1988 has got an Egyptian father and British mother. Sami El-Abd was born in England and has got an older brother, Adam El-Abd . He started his career in the Brighton & Hove Albion Football Academy and was transferred in the summer 2004 to English Football Conference side Crawley Town.
Young defender Sami El Abd had been on trial with the English Championship Club Crewe Alexandra but a transfer did not materialize because Crewe Alexandra had been relegated to the English League Division One.
