EGYPTIAN international Mohamed Shawky will make his FC Middlesbrough debut when he plays for the Reserves at Newcastle this evening.
The tough-tackling midfielder is expected to start the game as part of a combative midfield which should also feature Lee Cattermole, Gaizka Mendieta and Graeme Owens, who makes a welcome return from injury.

Dong Gook Lee and Tom Craddock are in a strong-looking squad which also contains Brad Jones and Tony McMahon.

Under the charge of Steve Agnew, Boro's reserves drew the opening game of the season at home to Liverpool, going on to win 4-0 at Wigan last Wednesday.


The game, at St James' Park, kicks-off at 7pm.
