Egypt captain Ahmed Hassan dished out a classy assist helping Anderlecht edge past Gent 2-1 on Sunday night in matchday 10 of the Belgian League.

First half goals from Jonathan Legear, 15, and Nicolas Frutos, 45, sealed the victory for Anderlecht as Ruiz Gonzales 49th strike was nothing more than a consolation goal.

Hassan was among the starting line up as he brilliantly set up Frutos with a cheeky backheel to double the lead and secure the victory.

Anderlecht are fourth in the Belgian standing with 19 points, five behind leaders Standard Liege.
