Al Ahly’s Portuguese manager Manuel Jose says his team is looking for victory in the first leg of the MTN CAF Champions League final when they face Etoile Sahel in Sousse.

“It is not an easy task,” Jose told told the Media on Friday.

Follow up:

“Etoile are quite a good team but we have a valuable experience that we should count on.”

The Egyptians are looking to be the first side to win the tournament for the third successive year.

“If we score tomorrow, I am sure we can win the title”, said Jose.
“To win, you always need to be able to surprise your opponent and I hope we can do that on Saturday.”

Jose also refuted Etoile Sahel’s claims that the Al Ahly squad is ageing and the players are not what they used to be.

“They can say whatever they want. It might seem that they are very confident but I believe it sounds like they are quite tense.

“I just want them to know that I am aiming for victory in Sousse.”

Yet Jose did not deny that the last minute injury of Angolan international Gilberto was distressing news for him.

“He is a key player in our squad but I hope he will be fit before the second leg in Cairo.”
