BORO boss Gareth Southgate has denied that the club are in talks to bring Saudi Arabian striker Yasser Al-Qahtani to the Riverside.

Media reports from Asia had suggested that Boro had made an offer for the Al-Hilal player, but Southgate says they are unfounded.


The player himself was reported to have said he was considering Boro's "offer", but all of the reports are wide of the mark.
