Egyptian forward Mohamed Zidan converted a penalty to help Hamburg crush French side Rennes 3-0 at home in the UEFA Cup on Thursday.
Hamburg skipper Rafael van der Vaart opened the scoring in the 33rd minute before Eric Choupo-Moting doubled the lead eight minutes from time.

Follow up:
Zidan, who started the game on the bench, replaced Dutch playmaker Van der Vaart three minutes later and soon made an impact.
He earned a penalty in stoppage time and notched it home to put the icing on the cake.
The victory put Hamburg on top of Group D with six points, two ahead of Basel and Brann Bergen, who come second and third respectively.
