A hat trick inside 30 minutes from Soufiane Alloudi ensured a easy 5-1 win for Morocco over Namibia in their MTN Africa Cup of Nations Cup Group A match in Accra on Monday.

The rising star of Moroccan football netted two goals inside the first five minutes in a desperate start for minnows Namibia, making only their only Nations Cup appearance a decade after the first.

Alloudi completed his hat trick with a rare headed goal in the 28th minute after Tarek Sektioui had teased the porous Namibia defence to provide the prefect cross.

Alloudi set was set for the opening gola in the second minute by Marouane Chamakh whose initial effort had hit the post.

The second goal saw Alloudi dribble through a jittery defence to tuck the ball past the Namibian goalkeeper.

“I was very disappointed by the way we played at the start. I told my players they were like school kids against professionals,” said Namibia coach Arie Schans. “At this level, when you are two goals down in the first five minutes, the game is over.”

But the Brave Warriors did well to fight back to 2-1 when midfielder Brian Brendell scored in the 23rd minute, cutting inside the Morocco defence and picking his spot past goalkeeper Khalid Fouhami.

Alloudi’s third followed five minutes alter and then a penalty by Sektioui made it 4-1 in the 39th minute. It was awarded after enterprising fullback Michael Chretien had been brought down on an overlapping run.

Morocco substitute Moncef Zerka got his first international goal four minutes after coming on as a substitute in the 70th minute to ensure a 5-1 score line, one goal short of the record set when the Ivory Coast beat Ethiopia in Sudan in 1970.
