Cameroon and Egypt on Monday had a last training session ahead of Tuesday’s Group C match of the MTN Africa Cup of Nations between the two nations.
Cameroon’s session started at 4pm at Kumasi’s Baba Yara Stadium. It was a light training session which ended with a fun exercise. The session was concluded with a group prayer. Players didn’t talk to the media and coach Otto Pfister’s only reaction after training was “no comment”.  Egypt Left StrandedAhmed 19th January 2008
Furious Egypt were left stranded at the MTN Africa Cup of Nations on Friday as organisers botched up their travel arrangements.
Egypt were due to fly from Accra to Kuamsi, where they will play thier first game on Tuesday against four-time champions Cameroon. Egypt arrived late on Thursday in the Ghanaian capital Accra and could not fly onto Kumasi straight away because there are no flight flights to Ghana’s second city. Emad Meteb notched a hat-trick as Egypt settled for a 3-3 draw with Angola in Lisbon in the Pharaohs' last warm-up for the African Cup of Nations in Ghana.
Ahli striker Meteb put Egypt ahead early in the game but his strike was cancelled out by his club teammate Flavio Amado midway through the first-half. Hossam Ghaly made his Derby County debut in the 1-0 home defeat to Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
The Egyptian midfielder, who joined just hours before the game, was chasing shadows through out the game as he lacked harmony with his new teammates.  |
